Our ACS® Cold Saw Cut Machining Centers rank internationally among the leading solutions in solid bar and tube cold sawing technology. The modular design and robust construction allow for ease of operation and a high degree of reliability, resulting in unparalleled productivity and a fast return on investment. Customers can now achieve their goals even faster with the newly released, next generation of Rattunde ACS® Cold Saw Cut Machining Centers.
Did you know that humans blink about 10 to 15 times per minute on average? That is roughly one blink every four to six seconds. Blinking more often would be too exhausting and should therefore be avoided. We advise against attempting to blink as fast as our ACS® cold saw machining centers cut – they cycle at a time of slightly over one second depending on the model.
Our customers depend on progressive and effective sawing technology. “To stand still is to fall back” is an old adage within the field of technology. It is with this in mind that we have continued to develop our machines. Our most recent undertaking was to increase productivity – because we develop and produce almost everything in-house, our efforts were soon crowned with success. Central to these productivity improvements was the incorporation of new hardware to optimize workpiece handling.
In order to maximize the advantages of the new productivity, we have also equipped the latest generation of machines with new control software. For example, we can now achieve a cycle time of 1.1 seconds on the ACS® + BDM Cold Saw Machining Centre (Cold saw cutting and brush-deburring).
Cycle time 1.1 seconds
This represents an increase in productivity of at least 23% compared to the previous generation of saw machining centers. In fact, 3000 parts per hour can be cut (using a reference tube of Ø 30mm x 2mm wall x 125mm long – E 355 (St52) material and starting master length of 6500mm). This includes length measuring, of course. The cycles naturally take a little longer on ACS® Cold Saw Cut Machining Centers that have additional or more complex functions.
As another example, when sawing with subsequent chamfering (ACS® + CFM); a cycle time of 1.45 seconds can be achieved for workpieces that are cut, faced and finished with an inside/outside chamfer of 0.5mm x 45°. This corresponds to 2447 machined parts per hour (using a reference tube of Ø 30mm x 2mm wall x 38 mm long), or an increase in productivity of at least 21% compared to the previous generation of cold saw cut machining centers.
Although earlier generations of machines can be upgraded with the new technology in theory, this must be examined on a case-by-case basis due to their complexity. Indeed, our latest generation machines provide our customers with an effective means to be a full step ahead of the competition.
Incidentally, the speed of a blink is 300 to 400 milliseconds. Unfortunately we are not yet able to cut that fast.
